On Dec 10th, SEIU6 hosted our annual President’s Luncheon to celebrate and honor the union leaders that have worked to make our union strong. We got to break bread together as we highlighted the major accomplishments we had throughout the year. They would not have been possible without the hard work of our leaders that stepped up in different capacities as shop stewards, bargaining team negotiators, speakers at rallies and many more.
We also honored the legacy that Charles Pannell, Bruce Berkbigler, and Joan Bethel left behind as trailblazers for the labor movement. At the event we got to hear from Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, MLK Labor’s Katie Garrow, Transit Riders Union’s Katie Wilson, and SEIU Executive Vice President Rocio Saenz.
